GriefINK

For the past six months, author Susan Salluce and I have been capturing the stories of individuals who all have one thing in common: tattoo as the language of grief. About 30 altogether, each narrative tells a story of loss in 500 words and a single photo.

I am profoundly impacted by each person we've met. The storytelling process has brought new insight surrounding continuing bonds - that not even death itself can take away the connection we share with one another in this short life. Through the permanence of tattoo we are able to hold onto that which was taken away (physically) too soon. I cannot wait to share the finished product, coming soon summer 2015. You can buy it here: AMAZON. Here are some samples...

With this tattoo, I can take both of them with me everywhere.

When I got my tattoos, it was like Sean was there with me. When people ask about them, I get to talk about his death, and that lets me honor his life.
